Privacy policy

CoBoating keeps this simple: we collect what we need to make introductions, and nothing more.

What we collect

• Owners: boat details, share terms, photos, your name, email and (optionally) phone.
• Buyers: your search preferences, name, email, optional phone and any message you send.
• Basic technical data: a one-way hashed version of your IP address for spam and abuse prevention. We don't use ad trackers.

How we use it

• To review and publish listings. Your email and phone are never shown on a listing.
• When you request an intro, we share your name, email, phone (if given) and message with that owner only.
• To email you matching boats if you set an alert, and to reply to you.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

Where it's stored

Data is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, in the United States or wherever their infrastructure runs. Email may be delivered through an email provider.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or delete your listing, alert or other information at any time by replying to any email from us or through the form you used. We'll remove it promptly.

Children

CoBoating is for adults 18 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.
