Lake Lanier
Boat co-ownership on Lake Lanier. Share a boat, and the cost of keeping it.
On the water
Lake Sidney Lanier sits northeast of Atlanta, formed by Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River. It has many marinas and a large weekend boating crowd from metro Atlanta.
Co-owning here works like anywhere: each partner is on the title, you split slip, insurance and upkeep, and agree on a schedule. Check your marina's rules first. Our marina-ready checklist covers it.
